The Meaning Behind Our Logo
Thy Gift is more than the name of our little business.
My husband and I chose the name Thy Gift as a reminder that what we have is not truly ours to keep for ourselves. Our faith, our family, our abilities, and even this little venture are gifts from God — gifts that we are called to nurture, multiply and share.
“Thy” is how we speak to God in prayer:
Thy will be done.
Thy kingdom come.
It points our hearts back to Him — the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
And “Gift” reminds us of His generosity. It also reflects what we hope Thy Gift can offer: meaningful things that bring light, peace, faith and beauty into people’s homes.
The Story Within the Logo
Our original logo was handwritten. As Thy Gift grew, I redesigned it myself, giving each part of the lettering a deeper meaning.
The logo was created with prayerful intention, with little reminders of our faith woven into the design.
The “T” in Thy
The T is shaped like a cross, representing Jesus Christ — the centre of our faith and the Light of the World.
The Flowing “Thy”
The flowing cursive reflects the personal and reverent relationship we have with God — a relationship expressed through prayer, trust and surrender.
GIFT
The word GIFT is written in bold capital letters, giving it strength and presence.
The T in GIFT is designed to resemble the number 7, representing the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit:
Wisdom • Understanding • Counsel • Fortitude • Knowledge • Piety • Fear of the Lord
🕊️ The Dove & Flame
Hidden within the I of GIFT is a dove and a flame.
The dove represents the Holy Spirit, while the flame represents the candle and the light of Christ — a reminder of His presence, hope and love.
Together, these details make our logo more than a name or a mark.
It is a little prayer woven into the identity of Thy Gift.
A gift received.
A gift nurtured.
A gift shared.
And above all, a reminder that every good gift comes from God.
