Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Welcome to Thy Gift. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Thy Gift website and to purchases made through our online store.

By accessing or using our website, or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.

1. About Thy Gift

Thy Gift is an Australian small business offering handcrafted candles, devotional items, gifts, figurines, craft products and other faith-inspired goods.

Our products are lovingly handmade and may have small variations in colour, finish, shape or appearance. These variations are a natural part of handmade products and do not necessarily indicate a fault.

2. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours and other information on our website are accurate.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings, lighting and photography.

Because many of our products are handmade, no two individual pieces may be exactly identical.

We reserve the right to update product descriptions, designs, availability and pricing when necessary.

3. Orders

When you place an order, you are submitting a request to purchase the products in your cart.

An order is considered accepted once payment has been successfully received and Thy Gift has confirmed the order.

We may need to cancel or decline an order in circumstances such as:

  • a product being unavailable;
  • an obvious pricing or listing error;
  • suspected fraudulent activity;
  • an inability to process payment; or
  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will provide an appropriate refund.

Please check your order carefully before completing your purchase, including product selection, quantity, delivery address and contact details.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars (AUD).

Prices may change from time to time. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time you place your order, unless there is an obvious pricing or listing error.

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing and delivery information.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on our website or communicated to you.

Delivery timeframes provided by Thy Gift or our delivery providers are estimates and may vary.

Delays can occur because of postal or courier services, weather, public holidays, peak periods, incorrect delivery information, customs processes or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If there is a significant delivery issue, please contact us so we can assist.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Returns, Refunds and Consumer Guarantees

Thy Gift wants you to be happy with your purchase.

Our returns and refund process is explained in our Refund Policy.

In addition to any rights provided under our Refund Policy, Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with certain consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by these Terms & Conditions.

If a product does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and the nature of the problem.

These rights apply regardless of any voluntary returns policy offered by Thy Gift.

If you believe there is a problem with a product, please contact us at thygif7@gmail.com and provide your order details and, where appropriate, photographs of the issue so that we can assess and assist with the appropriate remedy.

7. Handmade Products and Natural Materials

Some Thy Gift products are handmade using natural or handcrafted materials.

Natural beeswax candles may vary slightly in colour, texture, scent and appearance. Small imperfections or variations may occur as a result of the handmade process.

Handcrafted plaster and figurine products may also contain minor variations, surface texture differences or small imperfections.

These characteristics are part of the handmade nature of our products and are not necessarily defects.

Where a product is intentionally designed to have a handmade or imperfect appearance, this will be communicated in the product description.

8. Candle Safety

Candles must always be used responsibly and according to the safety instructions provided with the product.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, drafts and other sources of heat.

Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface and follow any specific safety instructions supplied with the product.

Thy Gift is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, failure to follow candle safety instructions, or unsafe burning practices, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Figurines and Craft Products

Some Thy Gift figurines and craft products are intended for painting, crafting or display.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these products are not toys and should not be placed in the mouth.

Where a product is labelled with an age recommendation or safety warning, those instructions should be followed.

Children using craft products should have appropriate adult supervision.

Paints, brushes, plaster products and other craft materials should be used only for their intended purpose.

10. Intellectual Property

The Thy Gift name, logo, branding, photographs, artwork, product designs, written content, graphics and other original materials on this website belong to Thy Gift or are used with appropriate permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish or commercially use our original content, photographs, designs, branding or product materials without our prior written permission.

This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable copyright law.

11. Website Use

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

14. Errors and Changes

We try to ensure that the information on our website is accurate. However, occasional typographical errors, pricing errors, product information errors or other inaccuracies may occur.

Where permitted by law, we reserve the right to correct errors and update website information.

If an obvious error affects an order that has already been placed, we will contact you where reasonably possible to discuss the appropriate options.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thy Gift is not responsible for loss or damage arising from your use of the website or products where that loss or damage results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, misuse of a product, failure to follow safety instructions, or information supplied incorrectly by the customer.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under Australian law.

16. Events Outside Our Control

Thy Gift will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Examples may include natural disasters, severe weather, postal or courier disruptions, government restrictions, power or internet outages, strikes, supply interruptions or other unforeseen events.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant disruptions affecting your order.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The current version will be published on this page with the date of the latest update.

Any changes will apply from the date they are published, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Australian Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Australia.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or limit any rights or protections available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable Australian legislation.
